Sam has just returned from three days in London, attending fantastic events and raising awareness about Boost and our mission to improve the lives of breast form wearers.
Here is a short diary of her experiences:
Day 1 –
I’ve never been to the Houses of Parliament before, but today I got a pass to go inside! I’ve attended a drinks reception (after meeting up with Clair Heaviside from Serotonin for a bit of moral support!) We met with our fellow entrepreneurs from the 100 list, Telegraph and Natwest staff and MP’s Caroline Nokes and Craig Tracey.
After the event, I took the opportunity to attend the public gallery to watch a debate in the House of Commons about climate change. It was wonderful to see our Parliamentary system in action!
Day 2 –
Did you know that Coutt’s bank is where the Queen did her banking? Well, I was invited to a special dinner at this historic institution on the Strand in London. Joining the 10 Highly Commended Finalists for a feast prepared to Michelin Star standards, I was able to show our products during the cheese and port at the end of the meal, and present Boost’s plans to the invited guests and fellow entrepreneurs. It was wonderful to find out more about the other finalists, like Anna Chalov from Bemuse Drinks and to spend time in interesting conversation with Rahel Tesfai (https://frohub.com/), Sharon Obuobi (https://www.oarbt.com/) and Leah Holyroyd (https://www.whitebicycleltd.com/)
We may have accidentally headed to the Savoy for cocktails afterwards!
Day 3 –
I attended the Women Mean Business conference at the British Museum. As one of the ten Highly Commended, I was invited to join Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest and author of The Rose Review for afternoon tea!
The conference provided a fabulous opportunity to listen to the issues facing women in business and how they have overcome them, including the amazing Trinny Woodall (Trinny London) which showed that even people with a public profile can struggle to raise business finance.

Overall, I am tired but happy – what a wonderful opportunity to network, grow and bring Boost to the attention of more people who can support our business journey!
