International Women’s Day

Hello everyone! My name is Marie and I am the designer at Boost. You might’ve read a post about me in the past in our ‘Meet the Boost Team’ blog series. I am thrilled to be writing this blog post for International Women’s Day and sharing my experience with all of you.

I originally hail from the Czech Republic, but I decided to move to the UK to study sustainable product design. The UK has always been a hub for creativity, innovation and design, and I felt that studying here would give me the best possible foundation for my career. After completing my studies, I fell in love with the country and decided to stay here, possibly permanently.

At Boost, I work on a wide range of creative tasks within visual communication and graphic design, as well as product design and human-centred research. Two such projects are currently being funded by Innovate UK, both focused on empowering women and promoting inclusivity.

Our brand is all about empowering women and helping them feel confident in their own skin, no matter what their circumstances may be. I am incredibly proud of the work that we do at Boost. One of the things that motivates me the most about working at Boost is the opportunity to help more women around the world access our products. Breast cancer is a global issue, and many women struggle to find comfortable and affordable breast forms. Boost offers a solution to this problem, and it is truly heartwarming to see how our products have positively impacted the lives of so many women.

However, we still have a long way to go in terms of reaching women in different parts of the world. So far, we have only received one order from the Czech Republic, and we are determined to do better as we grow. We want to reach as many women as possible and help them feel confident and empowered.

International Women’s Day is a day that holds a special significance for me. It is a day to celebrate the achievements of women and to acknowledge the challenges that they face. It is a day to recognise the progress that has been made in terms of gender equality, but also to reflect on the work that still needs to be done. International Women’s Day is a reminder that we are all in this together, and that we have a responsibility to support and uplift each other.

In conclusion, I am honoured to be a part of the Boost team and to be involved in such important work. Our mission is to empower women and help them feel confident in their own skin, and I am proud to be a part of that. We have big plans for the future, and we are excited to continue growing and reaching more women around the world. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and happy International Women’s Day!
