Meet the Boost Team – Renèe

Want to know more about the wonderful humans who work at Boost? Of course you do! Each week a member of the Boost team will be writing a blog to introduce themselves and their role. We hope that you enjoy getting to know us better!

This week’s blog is by Renèe!

Hey! My name is Renèe and if you’ve contacted boost in the last 6 months it’s likely you’ve spoken to me and if you’ve called there’s a high chance you’ve heard baby Margot !

I started my career as a production assistant at the age of 17. This was my first introduction into the media world and the company trusted me to have a hand in production for the BBC, Pringles, to name a few. This role allowed me to gain a huge amount of experience in the years I spent working there. On leaving this role I went back to complete my degree in fashion, media and marketing whilst freelancing as a social media manager. Pre pandemic I had started an PR internship for Christian Dior, which ended due to the pandemic and I chose to stay closer to home with my daughter who was 2 at the time.

I first came into contact with Sam when I reached out to her after seeing a post by boost on Facebook. I hadn’t long had my second baby but the company’s story really spoke to me and I was also getting super bored of being on maternity leave! After a phone call and a visit to Boost HQ Sam hired me and my boost journey started!

What I do for Boost mainly comes under anything customer facing. Public relations, social media, campaigns but also anything else that I can help Sam out with!

As a working woman you’re often told you can’t do well in your career and be a good mum, but Sam as a mum herself and a kickass business woman challenges this everyday. Boost’s family values really do carry through to all of us. Sam allows me to do a lot of work from home, while Margot is still a baby and when I am in the office I’m always home for tea!
