Let’s introduce you to Jo, Loung-erie’s founder.

Hi Jo, we’re so excited to be teaming up with Loung-erie! Tell us what inspired you to create your bralettes?

Hi Sam, I am really thrilled about our partnership too! The inspiration behind creating Loung-erie came from my personal experience. I wear a 32FF/G bra, and one of the main highlights of my day ‘used to be’ taking my bra off. I found wearing traditional underwired bras for long periods incredibly uncomfortable, my shoulders, ribs, and sides would all ache. During the pandemic and while working from home, I tried to find a more comfortable solution. I ordered several “Comfort” style bras online but, I struggled to find one that offered both the support and comfort I was looking for – I had a clear vision of what I wanted to wear and achieve, so I thought I would go on a mission and make my own.

Our slogan, “Everyone needs Loung-erie, not just Lingerie” reflects our focus on providing garments that go beyond traditional lingerie. I think it’s important to note that we don’t want to diminish the beauty and significance of lingerie. There is a time and place for traditional lingerie, and it is a beautiful product that deserves to be celebrated. Loung-erie, on the other hand, aims to offer a different kind of garment that specifically addresses comfort and support.  I am really proud to say that I’ve created a product and brand that makes this a priority.

 

What makes these bralettes different?

Our Loung-erie bralettes stand out for a few key reasons. Firstly, our straps are really special, they are slightly padded and adjustable at the front which makes it very easy to put on and off and they stay in place – a game changer! Secondly, our bralettes are designed with the utmost comfort in mind, they are stretchy and have the flexibility allowing for a personalized fit. We only use high quality technical grade materials for our garments and by manufacturing in the UK, our garments not only have a local traceable supply chain but a very low carbon footprint.  Lastly, while focusing on comfort, we have not compromised on support and durability, this is achieved through thoughtful design elements providing adequate shape and lift.

Overall, the combination of all of these elements sets our bralettes apart and makes them a great choice for women looking for a comfortable and supportive option.
