A Year of Milestones and Memories at Boost Innovations

Reflecting on 2024: 

As the year wraps up, we can’t help but smile (and maybe breathe a little sigh of relief!) when we look back at 2024. It’s been a whirlwind of achievements, adventures, and amazing connections. Here’s a little look back at our year!

January

We hit the ground running with the Great British Entrepreneur Award for South West Purpose Entrepreneur of the Year. What an honor! We also presented our research on breast form customization at the UK Interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Symposium in Birmingham—a proud moment for the team.

February

Hello, Liverpool! We hosted our first pop-up with Bravissimo and loved meeting so many wonderful people. We also had the chance to be a guest speaker on a Start Up Cornwall panel, sharing our story and learning from others in the entrepreneurial community.

March

March brought a real pinch-me moment: dinner with the incredible Holly Tucker MBE and a room full of inspirational female founders. We also officially started the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) program as an NHS Innovation Fellow. Talk about exciting new beginnings!

April

This month was extra special as we celebrated Boost’s 6th birthday. It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come since we incorporated in 2018.

May

May saw us behind the camera for a new photoshoot, which featured a very exciting development—a prototype custom nipple! Watch this space for what’s next.

June

We joined the Flat Friends Charity at their annual gathering in the Midlands—a weekend full of community spirit, sharing stories, and supporting one another.

July

What a month! We rocked out to the Foo Fighters in Cardiff (still buzzing from it!) and hosted a pop-up in Birmingham’s Bravissimo store. We also teamed up with Zoggs to showcase Boost as a swimming boob, with the ultimate highlight being Mum stepping in as a swimwear model—what a star!

August

August was a month of inspiration and dreaming big. We loved seeing holiday snaps from our customers showing Boost in action all over the world. Plus, we viewed a building we were planning to rent—little did we know what was coming next…

September

The opportunity of a lifetime came knocking—we were offered the chance to buy the building instead of renting. Thanks to support from investors and Cornwall Council, we made it happen. EEK indeed!

October

Breast Cancer Awareness Month kept us on our toes with collaborations with Boux Avenue, Bravissimo, and Zoggs, all featuring our products. We also met some fabulous people, including Wyn Evans, Katya Jones, and the amazing Clare Palmer, while working with Breast Cancer Now in Cardiff.

November

Big steps for Boost as we officially started renovations on our new HQ. It’s exciting (and a little terrifying) to see it all coming together.

December

We wrapped up the year on an absolute high, winning the ‘Women in Health and Wellbeing’ award at the Westcountry Women’s Awards and a Women In Innovation Innovate UK award. On top of that, we used our silicone waste recycling process to craft the trophies for the Cornwall Sustainability Awards—sustainability at its best! Renovations at the HQ also made progress, with the kitchen and plastering completed. We ended the year with a Bravissimo pop-up in Edinburgh and a wonderful coffee date with the lovely Lisa Fleming.

Here’s to 2025!

2024 has been a year full of growth, challenges, and celebrations. We couldn’t have done it without our incredible community, customers, and supporters. Thank you for being part of our journey—we’re so excited to see what 2025 will bring. Cheers to another amazing year ahead! 💕
